Smokin’ Aces 2: Royal Flush

19 01 2007

Ok I’m not announcing a sequal in the works, I saw Smokin’ Aces on Tuesday Night and gosh, it was good.  It was just generally an intense movie with interesting characters but due to the volume of characters it was difficult to really bond with them or have them develop in the film, but either way it was good (un)clean fun.

I would have written more, but I can’t remember much about the movie as it is now Friday night and i’ve been stressed out with exams this week, ah well at least they are now over.  This evening I watched Demolition Man and that is a good film, but it makes me sad that Wesley Snipes is no relegated to the Straight-To-Video market…… He used to be a successful star, I’d reccomend him in “The Fan” (with the always great Bobby DeNiro) if you want to see him play the victim for once.

One more random bit, talking about Bobby DeNiro………LOL The Adam and Joe song they did about him is sooooo funny, I might have to go watch that now, bye folks.

No Holds Barred Officially A Better Movie Than The Godfather

18 01 2007

Ok just a quick post that I found at IMDB that I found VERY funny.

“Seeing the Godfather at the top of the IMDB list, I began to think of movies which I would consider superior. Now I’m not saying No Holds Barred is the greatest movie of all time (although it certainly deserves consideration for that title), but it is definetly better than the godfather. The reasons are simple.
Better direction.
Better script.
Better cinematography.
Better acting.
I repeat, BETTER ACTING. Hogan can’t get enough credit for this film, and his suporting cast, led by Tiny Lister, are simply unbelievable.
Who agree’s with me?”

Just to clarify, I didn’t write this, No Holds Barred is a fun film but it is nowhere near Godfather worhty.

Hello Folks, just posting to say i’m working on sorting out a gallery to hang around here and then you can see the world through my eyes. So apart from scoring 16 out of 25 on a eBusiness exam today, I’ve been working on a couple of posts one is about how Movie Directors have become bigger stars than the stars and the other is my thoughts on the HD-DVD Vs Blu-Ray battle. Gosh, blogging is addictive, so on that note I’ll leave you with the ULTIMATE REJECTION LETTER!
